Overview

In Greece, the first taste of a new olive oil harvest is often enjoyed simply with fresh bread.
This is the purest way to experience the flavour of great olive oil.

Ingredients

  • Fresh sourdough bread
  • Ionian Gold Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Pinch sea salt
  • Dried oregano or thyme (optional)

Method

1.     Pour a shallow pool of Ionian Gold olive oil onto a plate.

2.     Add a pinch of sea salt and oregano.

3.     Tear warm sourdough into pieces.

4.     Dip generously and enjoy.

High-quality olive oil should give a gentle peppery sensation at the back of the throat.
