Livadi is the most polyphenol-rich extra virgin olive oil we've ever produced, made from Koroneiki olives grown on the oldest part of our family estate on the Paliki Peninsula in Kefalonia. It's cold-pressed within hours of harvest and left completely unfiltered.
On the palate there's fresh-cut grass and olive leaf up front, then artichoke, green almond and wildflowers, with a long peppery finish and a clean bitterness that holds. The pepper and the bitterness come from polyphenols, the natural antioxidants in olive oil that help protect your cells, reduce inflammation and support heart health.
Most supermarket olive oils contain fewer than 200 mg/kg of polyphenols. The EU health claim on protecting blood lipids from oxidative stress requires 250. Livadi has 1,411mg/kg, which makes it one of the highest polyphenol olive oils available anywhere in the UK and more than five times the threshold for the EU health claim. It's an oil made for anyone who cares about their health, loves great food, or both.
Pour it over grilled fish, tear bread into it, finish a soup, dress a salad, or take a spoonful on its own each morning. There are 600 bottles from the 2025 harvest and they won't be around for long.
Not sure if Livadi is the right one for you? Compare all three of our oils side by side.
Or, if it's already part of your routine, you can get Ionian Gold olive oil delivered monthly through the Liquid Gold Club.

Meet the Dellaporta Family
The Dellaporta family has been on the Paliki Peninsula in Kefalonia since around 1500. Our name comes from the village we founded, Dellaportata, where olive groves, vineyards and vegetable fields once stretched as far as you could see. The old house was Venetian in style, built around a stone courtyard, and our family church, Agia Roggi, has stood nearby since 1650.
After the 1953 earthquake, the family moved to Lixouri and the estate was divided between four daughters. Our Nona Eirini, the youngest, inherited the land surrounding Agia Roggi. For over seventy years, the grove sat quiet and the trees grew wild. Then we came back and started making Kefalonian extra virgin olive oil on the estate again. The Livadi plot, the oldest part of the land, was where it all began.
We pick the olives by hand, cold-press them within hours, and bottle the oil on site. We don't irrigate, we don't use chemicals, and we let the seasons set the pace. Livadi is our most polyphenol-rich olive oil, but we also produce Xavdata, a bold early press from the Xabtada plot, and Paliki, a brighter, more peppery oil from later in the harvest. Every bottle is a single estate Greek olive oil from this land, and we think you can taste it.
